Acetaia Sereni Agrodolce Bianco Mediterraneo — White Balsamic with Mint & Rosemary | Aromatic & Herbal | 8.45oz
Acetaia Sereni Agrodolce Bianco Mediterraneo — White Balsamic with Mint & Rosemary | Aromatic & Herbal | 8.45oz
Acetaia Sereni Agrodolce Bianco Mediterraneo is a white balsamic condiment infused with mint and rosemary grown on the Sereni family estate in Marano sul Panaro, in the hills of Modena, Italy. It comes in a 250 ml (8.45 fl oz) bottle, and it is the herbal member of the Sereni white balsamic range.
The producer describes the aroma as Italian summer and Mediterranean scrub, with the sweet and sour balance of a white balsamic underneath. We tasted it at the Fancy Food Show in New York and added it to the catalog because it does something the lemon white balsamic does not: it brings herbs, not citrus, to the plate.
How to use Agrodolce Bianco Mediterraneo
- Fish and seafood — drizzle over grilled or baked fish, or finish a pan of shrimp off the heat
- Meat — a few drops over roast chicken, lamb, or pork after resting
- Cocktails — a splash adds a herbal, sweet and sour note to cocktails and to non-alcoholic drinks
- Diluted with water — the producer notes it is also excellent stirred into water
- Salads — whisk with Sparta Gourmet EVOO for a pale, herbal vinaigrette that will not darken greens
- Cheese — over fresh cheeses such as ricotta, or alongside Roussas PDO feta
Mediterraneo, Limonceto, or Botanico White: which white balsamic
All three are light in color and will not stain a dish. The difference is what each one adds.
- Mediterraneo (mint and rosemary): herbal and aromatic. Choose it for fish, roast meat, and cocktails.
- Limonceto (natural lemon): citrus-forward. Choose it for seafood, fruit, and light salads.
- Botanico White (Greek, organic): unflavored and fruity, from Domaine Costa Lazaridi in Drama, northern Greece. Choose it when you want the vinegar itself, with no infusion.
About the producer
